Kayaking in Norway - The Irish Independent
The wind falls to a whisper, turning the water on the fjord to glass. The only sound around is the rhythmic drop-pull-splash of my paddle moving through the water. But calmness snaps to chaos as I hear something breach the surface behind me and blow. I’ve been told orcas were here just last week. Quickly trying to look around while also not falling in, I couldn’t look more like lunch for a hungry killer whale.
